Nothing fuels Paul’s passion more than singing. With a mother whose stunning voice enchanted audiences at events and weddings, and a paternal grandmother who played piano, guitar, accordion and the “jaw harp,” it’s clear that music is in his blood.
A true music enthusiast, Paul has been involved in numerous bands, musicals, competitions and various musical projects since childhood.
“The highlight of my musical journey was when I performed for over 10,000 people at the Fête du Lac des Nations in Sherbrooke. I can still hear the crowd singing with me. It was truly unforgettable!”
Singing gives him a way to express emotions he couldn’t share otherwise. As a child, Paul soon realized he was different. Attracted to boys and unable to talk about it, he turned to singing as a safe space – a place where he could be himself without exposing his “secret.” It made him feel free, unburdened and on equal footing with everyone else.
“This wealth of life experience and emotions serves me greatly today in my relationships. Being able to listen with my heart, to hear and feel the emotions that are often hidden behind a façade allows me to better understand and welcome others, while also being attuned to their needs.”
Having learned to accept himself through his own journey, he now seeks, in his own way, to guide and support those who want to follow the path of authenticity.
